ShulCloud pricing, explained

Five different monthly figures circulate for ShulCloud. Four of them are real and apply to different congregations; one is a competitor's claim. Here is how they fit together.

The published tiers

Verified on the vendor's plans page on 2026-10-12:

PlanMonthlyAnnual billingWhat it is
Standard$161.99$1,846.69"ShulCloud without Financials": membership, website, calendar, admin app. No invoicing, statements or online member payments.
Premium$313.99$3,579.49Standard plus billing, payments, statements and campaigns. The tier most congregations actually need.
Enterprise$464.99$5,300.89Premium plus fundraising and school management.

Annual billing is about five percent cheaper and is marked non-cancelable and non-refundable on the plans page.

The $97.99 figure

The signup form includes a checkbox offering Premium at $97.99 a month to shuls with fewer than 100 accounts, with email-only support, moving to full price above 100 accounts. It is a real vendor offer and the lowest route to a ShulCloud system that does billing. It is not listed as a plan, which is why it rarely appears in comparisons.

The $420 and "$5,000 onboarding" figures

These come from a competitor's comparison table, not from ShulCloud. The vendor's own page lists nothing at $420, and onboarding is charged but not priced on the live site. An archived vendor FAQ once gave onboarding packages from a one-time $150 to $3,600 and up; treat that as historical. Ask for the current onboarding quote in writing with the data-import scope attached.

The comparison page marks these as extras regardless of plan: SMS text messaging, the member mobile app, QuickBooks or Sage sync, and data imports from QuickBooks, Rakefet, MARKS or Chaverware. Shulware's product page prices two of them: SMS at $35 a month for 2,000 messages ($420 a year for 24,000, $10 per extra 650) and QuickBooks or Sage sync setup at $500 unless bundled with an onboarding purchase. The rest are "please inquire." Payment processing by card or ACH is through third parties at rates not published.

What to ask before signing

  1. Which tier includes each feature we use today, in writing, since the public comparison page uses unlabeled icons.
  2. The onboarding and data-import quote, itemized.
  3. Card and ACH processing rates and the processor.
  4. Whether the sub-100-account Premium rate applies to us and what happens when we cross 100.
  5. Data export format and the post-termination access window.

Frequently asked questions

Is ShulCloud Standard enough for a small synagogue?

Only if the congregation does not invoice dues or take member payments through the system. Standard excludes billing, statements and online member payments; a small shul that bills should look at the $97.99 sub-100-account Premium offer instead.

Does ShulCloud charge for onboarding?

Yes. The terms confirm onboarding fees exist and may be paid in installments if the vendor agrees, but no current price is published. Get a written quote.

Does ShulCloud offer an annual discount?

Annual billing is about five percent below twelve times the monthly price and is non-cancelable and non-refundable per the plans page. A bi-annual option also exists on the page.
